After you place your order at your local branch, our delivery team will deliver your products to a convenient location in your home a few days before the agreed fitting date. This allows you time to inspect your purchase before the installation team arrives to fit your doors.
Upon arrival, our fitters will protect the work areas with dust sheets and carpet protectors. Please ensure any objects that may impede the work are moved before the fitting team arrives.
If you have any questions or requests at this stage, please inform the fitters. They are there to assist you and will do their utmost to accommodate your needs. For orders involving both ground and first-floor doors, the fitters typically start on the first floor, so please ensure clear access to these rooms. For households with children or pets, we recommend keeping them away from the work areas for their safety, as sharp and noisy power tools are used. Additionally, fitters will frequently move in and out, so the external door may remain open for some time.
Upon completion of the installation, the fitters will clean the work areas. Apart from a small amount of airborne dust, there will be no sign of our presence, except for your newly installed doors.
The fitters will request that you inspect the doors and workmanship to ensure your complete satisfaction before they leave the site.

Pre-finished oak doors may have exposed edges after fitting is complete, but our fitters will minimise this. Refinishing the edges post-installation is a simple cosmetic DIY task, and our local branch staff are available to offer advice. To clean pre-finished oak doors, use a dry microfibre cloth. If sticky fingerprints need to be removed, use a dampened part of the cloth and then wipe dry. Avoid using chemicals. Some white primed finished doors may require a touch-up prior to applying your final coat of chosen paint. Your order will be covered by our standard terms and conditions, and doors fitted by us come with a 12-month guarantee. These terms are detailed in the paperwork supplied at the time of your order. In summary, we cover the installation for 12 months on materials and workmanship.
Timber doors are a natural product and may move due to environmental changes. This is normal, and if movement occurs, it typically happens within the first two weeks after installation. Should this occur, we will be happy to make any necessary adjustments, provided they meet the warranty terms.
